Heli ElectromagneticsGDS can install electromagnetic systems, magnetometers and gamma-ray spectrometers in a variety of helicopters for flexibility and economy in helicopter-borne geophysical surveys. The electromagnetic systems feature a powerful transmitter in a compact structure, which facilitates surveying in remote and rugged areas. The transmitter uses up to 2000 amperes to generate a pulse that penetrates hundreds of meters into the earth to induce responses in deeply buried conductors. The system has a 3-axis receiver for optimum geometrical analysis. The receiver operates over the full range of on- and off-time, for broadband analysis of the vertical conductivity profile and of the characteristics of discrete conductors. GDS has software to process the electromagnetic data, and cooperates with geophysical consultants to offer customers detailed interpretation of results. |
