Our Team
Since 2007, GDS has carried out more than 2.5 million linear kilometers of airborne and helicopterborne surveys for a multitude of private companies and government institutions, including 75% for the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Quebec (MERN) and the Geological Survey of Canada (NRCan) only. These projects include magnetic, radiometric, electromagnetic and gravity surveys or a combination of these.
GDS staff has strong expertise in regional weather conditions and field difficulties.
Mouhamed Moussaoui, P.Eng.
President
Mr. Moussaoui has more than 30 years of experience in the supervision and execution of projects related to fixed-wing, helicopter and ground geophysics. He has managed several mandates and has been involved in every stage of project execution. Mr. Moussaoui was project manager in most of the airborne mandates obtained by SIAL Geosciences Inc., then by Fugro Airborne Surveys Corp. at the Montreal office, which involves several million km-linear surveys. He founded Geo Data Solutions GDS Inc. in 2007 and is the president since.
Saleh Elmoussaoui
Vice-president, Operations Manager
Mr. Elmoussaoui has over 15 years of experience in the management and execution of airborne geophysical campaigns in Canada and abroad. He has been involved in several mandates carried out by SIAL Geosciences Inc. and then by Fugro Airborne Surveys Corp. and now at GDS since its founding, accumulating more than 1,500,000 line-km. Mr. Elmoussaoui is also cofounder of Geo Data Solutions GDS Inc.
François Caty, B. Sc Geology
Mr. Caty has over 30 years of experience in the field of ground and aerial geophysics as well as lake sediment sampling where he started as a sampler. He soon became a team leader on the majority of projects of the same type for SIAL Geosciences, Fugro Airborne Surveys and now Geo Data Solutions. Mr. Caty is also involved in the preparation of the navigation of the aerial surveys as well as in the design and verification of the final products delivered to the customers. Mr. Caty is a cofounder of Geo Data Solutions GDS Inc.

Pierre Filion
Electronics Technician
Mr. Filion has more than 20 years of experience in geophysical instrumentation operations. He has worked for SIAL Geosciences, Fugro Airborne Surveys and now Geo Data Solutions GDS since its inception in 2007. He has worked in Canada and abroad with several types of acquisition systems and in several geophysical areas.
Marc A. Vallée, P. Eng. Ph. D.
EMA Specialist & Marketing
Marc Vallée graduated in geological engineering from Laval University, before completing a Master's degree in geophysics at the University of Toronto, and a PhD in geophysics at École Polytechnique de Montréal. He has over 25 years of experience as a research scientist in applied geophysics, mainly for the Noranda Technology Center, then for the Fugro Airborne Surveys Company. Recently, he was responsible for geophysical inversion as part of the NSERC-CMIC Footprints project. His expertise is mainly in the processing and interpretation of electromagnetic, magnetic and airborne gravity surveys. He is the author of several scientific articles in applied geophysics.
